Mother Devaki's Fourth Book is Out!
To shape our family life into an ashrama - a place for self-realization - is not an easy task. And it begins with entering family life according to Krishna's recommendations: with realistic and level-headed expectations and a Krishna conscious approach, mood, vision and outlook on life.
Srila Prabhupada states in the Srimad-Bhagavatam (3.24.15):
"The daughters should be handed over to the respective rishis, not blindly, but according to the combination of character and taste. That is the art of combining a man and woman. Man and woman should not be united simply on the consideration of sex life. There are many other considerations, especially character and taste. If the taste and character differ between the man and woman, their combination will be unhappy."
We will discover many important principles of good compatibility and gain a deeper understanding of the marriage contract, the importance of keeping our vows and so much more. This book is highly relevant not only for devotees who plan to enter married life, but for everyone of all ashramas - a very useful handbook for matchmaking for all parents, gurus, mentors and anyone who wants to help create stable and healthy Krishna conscious families.
The book is hard cover, has 260 pages and is available in many temple shops.

Mother Devaki's Third Book is Out!
The false ego is the most subtle part of the subtle material body - it is so subtle, that we can easily miss it all together. Thus, in the name of Krishna consciousness, we may do the opposite of what we should really be doing: instead of subduing and dissolving the false ego, we can feed and expand it.
In this book we discover how our false ego is prompting us to act the way we shouldn't act - almost every day - thus creating our miseries. We learn practical tools to disregard the false ego's demands, which will help us to cultivate the most important qualities of tolerance, gratitude, humility and forgiveness.
The book is hard cover, has 280 pages and is available in many temple shops.

Mother Devaki's Second Book is Out!
"One who gives personal instruction to each and everyone does more for others than the platform speakers do. Generally, whatever platform speakers say cannot solve the problem of everyone in the audience, nor can it always benefit every indivi- dual. A person's defects are better rectified in a private tutorial class or private coaching than in hearing lectures in a school or college. Therefore those who instruct particular persons separately can award them something more permanent."
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura
Amrita Vani
In spiritual life giving and accepting shelter is the very basis to any meaningful relationship: we are always giving shelter to subordinates and accepting shelter from superiors. If this is not there, our relationships will be superficial. In fact, the theme of taking shelter is accompanying us on various levels throughout our entire spiritual practice. In this book we discover the necessary qualities in order to be eager for shelter, and the qualities we have to develop in order to give shelter, and what blocks us the most from giving and accepting shelter. We will also receive insights how this principle of shelter forms the foundation of Devotee Care which is a very relevant topic in present-day ISKCON. As we all know, we have been losing many nice devotees over the past years - so many people come to Krishna consciousness, they stay around for some time, and too many fade away again. In this book we will find the answers as to why this phenomenon has been taking place. And we receive insights how to avoid this. If we put into practice the principles and tools we discuss, we will have more devotees and happier devotees.

Mother Devaki's First Book is Out!
Spiritual Culture - Krishna's Divine System
A Book Review by HG Gopal Das
Spiritual Culture - Krishna's Divine System is a well-thought, thoroughly researched, and deeply realized presentation on the topic of culture. Mother Devaki skillfully entwined Srila Prabhupada's instructions with her personal experiences, realizations and mature understandings, bringing our Vaishnava philosophy to practical life and it's application. She has distilled various highly relevant subjects into easily understandable principles that can be applied, with individual discrimination, by anyone no matter where we might be living in this world.
Mother Devaki is taking her readers for an internal journey to inspire us to re-think old concepts, which will certainly lead to new discoveries. This book is meant to shake us up and put into question today's norms and modern worldviews, however unpalatable it may be to our false egos. Spiritual Culture gives us a glimpse into the sweetness and beauty which is hidden behind the regulative cultural norms and etiquettes found in all authentic
spiritual traditions maintained throughout the world. We come to realize just how perfect and divine Krishna's system is - meant to provide stability and harmony to civilized humanity, so we can re-establish our lost and forgotten relationship with Him. Contrary to the paradigm of sense gratification so widely glorified and propagated in this age, the points made in this book paint a stark, yet encouraging contrast to our current unsustainable counter-culture. For those who are eager to awaken to the beautiful and shining day of the joyful spiritualist, Spiritual Culture is an essential read. It inspires internal transformation - something we naturally strive for in order to cultivate pure bhakti.

Govinda Das from Vienna/Austria shares:
I am only at page 52... but: this book definitely needs to be distributed to every household on this planet.
What a very important work - thank you!
Anandini dd from Radhadesh shares:
I finished reading this book.
It is so true...we are far from spiritual culture now...
I am doing my best to follow Devaki Mataji's advice in the book.
It works, thank you very much!
Bhakta Shakti from the United States shares:
I was born and raised in South of India where this spiritual culture is still being practiced but it is more of a sentiment. Most of us do not even know why we are following and practicing this culture.
I was always afraid that i'm not keeping up with the current trends/culture and I had encountered so many situations after I moved to the western world and felt I was lost. But after reading this book i'm so happy that I have found all the answers to my questions and now I'm very confident on Krishna's system.
In our culture women are respected and protected by our elder members(Grand father/Father) in the family. However, with the current educational system/Internet/globalization in India now there is a great danger of completely forgetting this knowledge.
Everyone is trying to be westernized, dating/living relationships, wearing western clothes to the temples is quite often seen in India now. I encounter very often in my friends circle/at office, that women in the present world are competing with men and don't want to agree that they are emotionally weak.
This book has all the facts and there is no wonder why you are hearing varieties of feedback. No one wants to listen that they are doing something wrong,I often listen the below lines from my friends:
YOLO - You only live once!
Be a Roman when you are in Rome!( Enjoy your senses to the fullest)
But somehow my nature is not like this and I'm still an "old-school" guy! I think that is why i'm struggling to get married :)
I have so many things to share after reading this book, but cant put everything in this.
Anyways, I thank you once again for reconnecting me with my soul's nature.
